Oh the irony.....

So there we were, druid and warrior, hitting the big red random instance button, and we get Drak'Tharon. Easy enough. Someone asks for a table, and another, a DK, says nah, don't need it, will be a quick run. He's all go-go-go, eager to get on etc, and that's fair enough, I get that. Except things seem to be going slowly, it's like swimming through treacle. Now I'm on vent with R, and a little way in he tells me that he's doing the most damage.....

R calls for a quick regen, we've got a mage and shammie who need topping up, my innervate's on CD, having zapped one previously, so I can't help out. Shammie's half way back up with mana, and the DK's saying "go".  He's impatient, we're obviously too slow for him.  So we down Novos, and one of the group asks for some idea of damage done. Suddenly the DK drops group. R posts the damage up, and I burst out laughing. Mr Impatient DK is doing 1.2k. He's right at the bottom of the list.....!

But the thing that amused me most? DK's title is "the Patient".......

What, the ADHD that stands for Assholes Demand (real)Heroes DPS?

It has been surmised, that the /slap which is my standard and impersonal response to things like saying "just go no time to wait all over" after a boss fight before which I called "regen" seeing the mage and shaman at below 40% mana actually hit him on the epeen rather than the cheek.

Funnily, after the initial "let's do this quickly" I found myself half the time running ahead .. *glance at minimap* ... *stop* .. *turn around* .. you guys coming or what? Then I started wondering why stuff needs so long to go down, glanced at Recount .. oh, because the DK fails at DPS and there's no 5k-monster to offset it this time. I suspect more appropriate than the /slap would have been to say "if you want it to go faster, how about you start putting out some DPS?", but hey, I'm there to have fun, not to engage in flame wars. Guess he dropped because things were going too slow! (Which totally makes sense, because he then would have had to spend 15-20 minutes in the dps-queue, by which time we already cleared the dungeon with the replacement-hunter who did twice his damage output)

Anyway, calling this a "bad" PuG experience would be strongly exaggerated, it was funny at most. Also, considering this is the "worst" that happened to us so far, says a lot, I guess.

...just to clarify, "let's do this quickly" was the DK's call, not mine.

We know how to use our epeens .....
Oh, it wasn't a bad experience, it was a funny one! And I don't think you just slapped him on his epeen - I think he was worried that his big "do this quickly I know what I'm doing" attitude was going to be shown up by him having a teeny tiny microscopic epeen, rather than our (nicely zipped up and we don't feel the need to wang them out at every opportunity) much larger ones....
